Recycling awareness

We will be potting plants for each desk in the office and for each jobsite. Indoor plants brighten up our space and clean our air! We will encourage care and maintenance of the plants with updates in our Texas newsletter including a "wall-of-shame" for negligent plant parents.

At the Almac North American Headquarters Project in Souderton, PA - every day is Earthday. We recycle everything we can, and use as many "green" office supplies as possible. We are always looking for ways to save a tree!

Everyone will be given a live green plant for their offices to provide a cleaner air environment for everyone. The Skanska Earth Day Plant Challenge will update the status, growth and health of the plants quarterly, and a shopping tote bag given to the person with the plant that shows the most growth and improvement. Also, we have pledged to implement a "no print" policy for the entire day, April 22nd, to save paper and energy.

Some mass e-mails about the history of earth day, footprint calculator to see how your lifestyle affects the enviroment, local food market information and other enviromental topics. We are also having a lunch with recycling discussions on Wednesday and are doing adopt-a-road clean up on a local highway on Thursday. Lots planned in Southfield,Michigan for the earth week.
